This policy explains what HoopDreams collects when you use hoopdreams.io, why we collect it, who it is shared with and how you can remove it. We keep it short because the game genuinely does not need much about you.

What we collect

Playing as a guest. Your careers, settings and progress are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. Nothing about that save leaves your device unless you create an account.

With an account. If you sign up with email and password, or with Google or Apple, we store your email address, a display name and avatar if you set one, and your game saves, tokens, unlocks and leaderboard entries. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.

Purchases. Payments run through Stripe. We receive a confirmation and an entitlement record; we never see or store your card details.

Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) are kept briefly for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. We also count anonymous app installs.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use local storage to keep you signed in and to hold your game save. Our advertising partner uses cookies to serve ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Buying Ad-Free removes advertising from the site entirely.

Push notifications

Reminder notifications are strictly opt-in and per device. If you enable them we store the push subscription your browser generates so we can send a reminder after a period of inactivity. You can revoke it at any time from the app settings or your browser's site permissions. We do not send marketing emails.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with the services that run the site: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, Google AdSense for advertising, and a translation service that receives interface strings — not your personal data — to support fifteen languages.

Children

HoopDreams is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights and deleting your data

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, saves, leaderboard entries and push subscriptions. Guest data is cleared by clearing your browser storage. To make a request, email support@hoopdreams.io from the address on the account, or use the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, note the change in the app.
